# Create a new survey

To create a new survey in QUESTIONSTAR, proceed as follows:

1. **On the dashboard,** click the button in the top right**"+ Create New Survey"**.
2. **Give it a name** for the new survey project.
 This name initially serves as an **internal project label**, e.g. "*Customer Survey 2025 Q3*". It helps you keep your surveys neatly organized in the system.

> 
> **Important:**
> 
>  The name you enter here is **not automatically the title** that your respondents will later see in the questionnaire. You can define or change the publicly visible **Header Text** (e.g. "*How satisfied are you with our customer service? – Your opinion counts!*") later in the "**Style Survey**" view.

3. Click **"Create"** to complete the process.

Your new survey is then created, and you're automatically taken to the **"Edit Survey"** view. There you can start adding your first question right away.
