# Completions widget

## About the completions widget

The completions widget shows the most important participation metrics for your survey at a glance. It helps you quickly grasp how many people have started and completed your survey, which channels the responses came through, and which devices your target audience is answering on.

## Where does the widget appear?

The widget is enabled by default and appears automatically **below each survey in the dashboard** as soon as the survey has been started.

Beyond that, it's accessible **in all other views** via the **status menu in the top menu bar** — through the colored status indicator (e.g. a green dot for “active”) to the left of the survey name.

## Overview: the components of the completions widget

The widget is made up of several graphically displayed sections:

- **Completions:**
Shows how many people have fully completed the survey.

> 💡
>
> Example: “6,504 of 8,257 (78%)” means that 6,504 out of 8,257 participants completed the survey in full.

- **2 Weeks Trend:**
Presents the daily completions of the last 14 days as a bar chart.
On mouseover, the exact number of completed surveys per day is shown.
- **Channels:**
Shows which channels participation came through — e.g.:**Public Link:** a general survey link, e.g. on a website or in a newsletter**Email invitation:** a personalized participation link, sent directly to defined recipients**Social media publication:** e.g. via Facebook, LinkedIn or X (formerly Twitter)**QR Code:** e.g. on printed materials, posters or packaging
- **Devices:**
Provides insight into the device types used:**Desktop****Tablet****Phone**
- **Quota fill level:**
If you use quotas in your survey, the **current fill levels of the quotas** are additionally shown in the widget.

## How should the values be interpreted?

The number under “Completions” refers to the **people who fully completed the survey**, relative to **those who started filling it out**.

> 💡
>
> **Important:**
>
> The percentage does not show the ratio to the number of people invited, but to the number of actual participants who opened the questionnaire.

> 💡
>
> **Example**:
>
> If 1,000 people started the survey and 780 completed it, the response rate is 78% — regardless of how many people were originally invited.
