# Overview

## About the dashboard

The dashboard is your central workspace in QUESTIONSTAR. Here you'll find all the surveys in your user account, along with the key information and functions for organizing, analyzing, and editing your projects.

The dashboard is designed to give you quick access to all relevant surveys at any time — including filters, editing status, results overview, and team sharing. The interface is built so that you keep track of everything even with a large number of projects.

## The dashboard at a glance

The most important areas of the dashboard at a glance:

1. [**Folder structure](/help/dashboard/folders) (left):**
 Here you organize your surveys by topic — e.g. by project, customer group, or purpose. Alongside the default system folders (e.g. "All", "Uncategorized", or "Bin"), you can create your own folders and arrange them flexibly.
2. [**Filter and search bar](/help/dashboard/settings) (top):**
 Using status, owner, and sorting filters as well as a direct search function, you can search specifically for surveys and narrow down the list accordingly.
3. **Survey list (center):**
 Shows your surveys as cards — with compact information on status, last-edited time, number of pages, device usage, and completions. When enabled, the [**Completions widget**](/help/dashboard/completions-widget) also appears directly on the card.
4. [**Survey Tools](/help/dashboard/survey-tools) (right):**
 As soon as you select a survey, all available tools appear in the right-hand side panel — e.g. for editing, sharing, distributing, or analyzing the survey.

## What can I do in the dashboard?

In the dashboard you can, among other things:

- create new surveys or copy existing ones
- manage the status of surveys (activate, close, delete)
- switch between editing views (Edit Survey, Style Survey, Distribute Survey, Analyze Results)
- organize teamwork (share, manage permissions)
- search for surveys specifically and filter the display
- view completion data and quotas at a glance

## How do I get back to the dashboard?

No matter which view you're currently in, you can switch back to the dashboard at any time by **clicking the QUESTIONSTAR logo in the top left**.
 The logo serves as central navigation back to your account's home overview.
