# View on small monitors and mobile devices

QUESTIONSTAR works on every device — on desktop PCs, laptops, tablets, and even on smartphones.

On small screens (smaller than 13”) and in small browser windows, however, screen space runs short for showing the entire QUESTIONSTAR interface. So that the left navigation panel and the right settings panel don't cover the work area, they aren't open by default on such screens but folded away to the side.

**Both panels can be unfolded**.

To unfold the **left navigation panel**, simply click the bar on the left edge of the browser window. This bar represents the minimized navigation panel.

The **right settings panel** unfolds when you click the **gear icon** of the element whose settings you want to edit (e.g. a page, question, visualization in a report, and so on). You can also open the settings panel by clicking the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the browser window.
