## Connecting Google Data Studio with QUESTIONSTAR

**Eligibility**
 Before you can analyze and visualize your survey data from QUESTIONSTAR in Google Data Studio, you first need to establish a one-time connection between the two tools.

For this you'll need:

- An active QUESTIONSTAR account with at least one published survey,
- A Google account with which you can access [Data Studio](https://lookerstudio.google.com),
- And the special **QUESTIONSTAR data connector** for Google Data Studio.

**Here's how to establish the connection between Google Data Studio and QUESTIONSTAR:**

1. **Create a new report:**
 Open [Google Data Studio](https://lookerstudio.google.com), click "Create" and select "Blank Report".

2. **Select a data source:**
 In the "Add data to report" window, type "QUESTIONSTAR" into the search field.
3. **Select QUESTIONSTAR survey data:**
 Select the connector **"QUESTIONSTAR survey data"**
4. and click "Authorize" to give Data Studio access to your data.

5. **Choose a Google account:**
 Sign in with the Google account you use for Data Studio.
6. **Allow access:**
 Agree to let QUESTIONSTAR access your Google account in order to establish the data connection.

7. **Confirm QUESTIONSTAR access:**
 A QUESTIONSTAR sign-in page opens. Sign in with your QUESTIONSTAR account and allow access to your survey data.

8. **Select a survey:**
 Once the connection is successful, you'll see a list of your surveys. Select the survey whose data you want to analyze and click "Add".

9. **Add to report:**
 Confirm the request with "Add to report".

**Done!** Your QUESTIONSTAR data is now available in Google Data Studio for analysis, visualization and sharing. ✅

>  You only need to go through this connection process once. Next time, you can add your survey data directly in Google Data Studio — without having to go through the entire authorization process again.

## Removing the connection

You can disconnect QUESTIONSTAR and Google Data Studio at any time. After disconnecting, **no data exchange** takes place between the two systems any longer.

**Here's how:**

1. In your QUESTIONSTAR account, click your **name** in the top right.
2. Select **"Integrations"** from the dropdown menu.

3. In the left-hand menu, click **"Apps and websites"**.
4. Next to **"Google Data Studio"**, click **"Remove access"**.

5. Confirm your selection in the dialog box that appears.
