Correcting the Sample Size

Computationally you would need n = 10,000 — with only 100 elements in the population:

Example · N = 100

Computationally you would need n = 10,000 — with only 100 elements in the population:

n_corr = (10.000 · 100) / (10.000 + 100 − 1)
= 1.000.000 / 10.099 ≈ 99

You can't survey more than the entire population — the correction brings the size down to a realistic level.
