An observation · no drama

Answers in employee surveys often stay guarded.

And that's rarely about the questions.

Not because the questions are bad. But because it's unclear who might still be able to trace an answer back to someone.

IP addresses. Open-ended answers. Small teams. A sense of doubt is enough.

And on the other side stands HR: expected to build trust — and, at the same time, to deliver results worth showing.

Trust doesn't grow that way.

What QUESTIONSTAR actually gives you

Four working mechanics, not four marketing promises.

Anonymity that doesn't disappear again

You decide per survey how anonymous it should be. And once it's anonymous, it stays that way. There's no switch that can be turned back later.

Questions that work exactly as intended

Likert scales, matrix questions, open-ended answers, branching. Not especially exciting — but reliable. Which matters most with sensitive topics.

Results you can actually show

Analysis right in the browser. Or as PowerPoint, Excel or Word — with editable charts. So you can keep working with them.

Multilingual surveys

One survey, several languages.

GDPR · anonymity that stays

Anonymity isn't a setting. It's a decision.

When you set a survey up as anonymous, more happens behind the scenes than a single checkbox.

IP addresses: you decide whether IPs are stored in full, truncated — or not at all. Separately for every survey.

Private questions: certain questions can be stored separately — demographic details, for example. That data sits technically apart from the answers.

Optional key: if you want, you can merge the two later. If not, they stay separate.

Once anonymous, always anonymous. Even for you — you can't change it later. Only through a new copy of the survey. That's by design.

Multilingual · one survey, several languages

When teams work in several languages.

In many companies, not everyone speaks the same language. And that's exactly when surveys start to go sideways.

Some people don't quite understand the questions. Others answer only on the surface. And in the end you're comparing things that aren't comparable.

With QUESTIONSTAR you add the translations per question. Employees choose their own language. And every answer lands in one shared analysis.

What you'd actually use this for

Four situations where it makes a difference.

Employee satisfaction

When results get filtered by team later, many people think twice about what they tick. That's exactly when how anonymous the survey actually feels makes a difference.

Pulse checks

Short surveys in between only work if you actually repeat them. It isn't automated here — but quick to set up again when you need it.

360° feedback

Different perspectives should come together. Managers, colleagues, self-assessment. With branching, so each role only sees what's meant for it.

Exit surveys

When someone's leaving anyway, they often speak most openly. As long as it truly feels anonymous.

Voices from practice

What our customers say about us.

100% verifiable.

QUESTIONSTAR has accompanied my work for over 15 years — from the eQuestionnaire days until today. What convinces us as a consulting and market research firm: the tool is reliable, simple, and keeps growing with us. That is exactly why I am happy to recommend it. A rare constant in an industry where tools change every few years.

Common questions

What you should know upfront.

Are employee surveys really anonymous?

Yes — if you set the survey up as anonymous. Then IP addresses are truncated or not stored at all, as you choose; private questions sit technically apart; and the anonymity status can't be turned back later. Not even by you. Only through a new copy of the survey.

Where is the data stored?

In Germany, in the IONOS data centers. GDPR-compliant, DPA included.

Do employees need an account?

No. They take part via a link, a QR code or an embed — no login.

Which question and analysis formats are supported?

Likert scales, matrix questions, open-ended answers, single and multiple choice, branching. Analysis in the browser or as PowerPoint, Excel or Word — with editable charts.

Do multilingual surveys work together with the analysis?

Yes. You store the translations per question, employees pick their language. Every answer lands in one shared analysis — no matter which language it was answered in.
