About the Signature & Drawing question type

With the "Signature & Drawing" question type, respondents can use a freehand field right inside the questionnaire — either to enter their signature or for simple, rough drawings. This question type is well suited to scenarios such as the following:

  • Signature for a consent declaration (e.g. for medical studies or privacy forms)
  • Confirmation by supervisors or teachers (e.g. for tests, internships, or submissions)
  • Freehand sketches or markings (e.g. to mark on an image, such as pinpointing pain, recording defects, or product ideas)
  • A doodle corner for creative input

Note: Input is done with a mouse, touchpad, or — on mobile devices — directly with a finger or stylus.

Settings of the Signature & Drawing question type
  1. Background Image You can insert any image as a background — for example, a form, a blank signature line, or a body graphic. To do so, click "Select from Library" to upload or select an image from your media library.
  2. Remove Background Image Clicking the "X" deletes the currently used background image.
  3. Pen Color Choose the color used for drawing or signing here. The selection can be freely adjusted, e.g. black for signatures or red/blue for markings.
